We had such a great night playing in the listening room at Seaman Violins in Skokie for a very interested and appreciative crowd! Sometimes I have to blink my eyes a bit to remind myself to stay focused while I’m playing. It’s easy to get lost in the moment and enjoy what everyone around you is playing … You have to remember what you’re supposed to be doing too!
Halloween has its origins in the ancient Celtic holiday of Samhain. It celebrated the beginning of the dark half of the year, a time when the boundary between our world & the Otherworld thinned. It was celebrated with fires, feasting, & drinking. We’ll be celebrating Saturday October 30th with live Celtic music from the Kilgubbin Irish Music All Stars, a roaring fireplace, plenty of feasting & spirits!
